  1. OK I downloaded and installed the trial version of ISOBuster. Thing is all I want to do is extract all the files off a CD onto my hard drive so that I can then make another copy that isn't damaged. I looked in the guides but found nothing to help me. How do I extract the files using this software (what settings do I need)? Thanks for any help here.

  2. When you launch ISObuster, grab the pull down arrow and direct the program to the drive that has the disc. You should then see a funch of files. Highlight all the files. Right click and extract the objects to whereever you want.
Believing yourself to be secure only takes one cracker to dispel your belief.

It will also work to higlight just the file system root that you wish to extract. The root will be one of a few different icons depending on the file system. It will most often be a little blue box with a couple white arrows, or the same thing in a red box. Also, there is UDF with I think is in a black box with green lettering. You'll understand what I'm talking about once you follow Dv8ted2's instructions for opening the disc.

If the cd is damaged , no software tool is going to help create an undamage iso image .

If it is just scratched , consider cleaning it with a product such as "wipe out" , it's the best fluid sollution on the market .. stay away from 2in1 sollution's , their utter garbage .

Failing this , should any file remain in "unreadable" state .. consider them gone permanently .

Should my sollution using wipe out make cd 100% readable ...

Right click on cd/dvd drive , choose properties ... it should list name of cd in unit .

Create a folder on hard drive , use the cd's name as folder's name .
Copy all from cd to this folder .

You can now use folder2iso to generate an iso image file from this new folder .

Zipgenious can also extract all file's and folder's from iso image's .

Use cdmage to convert other cd/dvd image format's to iso , then use zipgenious to extract to hd .

Copy new file's to folder for either adding content or replacing missing file's that could not be extracted ... damaged or otherwise .

Folder2iso to rebuild cd iso image .

Nero , or ghostburn will burn iso image's .

Ghostburn is located here : http://ghosthunter.true.ws/

Visit www.simtel.com , windows section , then cd/dvdrom emulation , there are 3 free emulator's to choose from ... use the sheep ... handy for those wanting to test dvd image's , or their own autorun cd setup's .

Support's bootable ... and dose not require any api from other cd/dvd burning product's such as nero's api ..
