I recently discovered vobsub can play *.sub , *.idx files even with the *.sub file packed in winrar, I was wondering if my dvd standalone player also supports that? I have a Kiss DP-1000

Can my player also play the subtitles when the *.sub is packed in winrar, for example:
movie.avi
movie.rar
movie.idx

Vobsub plays em just fine.

I have been playing around with Gordian Knot, backing up a few of my dvd's in xvid format, thats how I found out about the rar thing.

i highly doubt it but why not burn a disc and try? burn a rewritable disc even?

yeah I'll give it a try, I'll just try with a cd-r ... Just didnt fell like wasting a disc if it didnt work but I rarely use cd-r's anymore... I will edit my post some time tomorrow when I have tried it
