I have a JVC HR-S9900U and a DR-M100S and when I try to transfer a particular VHS tape to my DVD recorder "video calibration" appears across the screen during a particular part of the movie. The "vc" also appears on my final burned DVD that was sent to the DVD recorder.
Is there any way to keep the "vc" feature on while not having the feature advertise across the screen, that it is on?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

On the JVC VCR, make sure "Picture Control" is set to "Edit" and that "Superimpose" is set to "Off".
