I've recorded VHS stuff with Quicktime7 in a G4-1.25ghz. I began putting the stuff in Toast 7, DVD mode, until just before the ring round the rec button changed colour (which indicates you've overloaded the capacity - tks Frobozz). The .movs put together last around 7,5 hours and weigh around 19 GB; I assume that Toast knows that when it makes MPEG2 of them, they will fit a DVD. Now the 2 questions:
-Any idea of how much the encoding of this stuff will take, supposing I use Toast 7's default settings ?
-Will changing all these PAL .movs into NTSC for the encoding demand even more time ?
Thanks,
