I'm looking for MPEG codec for direct capture in MPEG 2 format when I transfer my video into computer. I usually capture with IuVCR or VirtualVCR in DVAVI format and then encoding with TMPGEnc to MPEG 2, but I want to spend some time and HD space. Is such codec avelable. I have try with YMPG converter using it as codec buth when I play the captured video it plays with 3x times faster speed.I wonder how works DVD RECORDERS like Panasonic.
I've try one time to transfer my DV cassete into DVD using my friends Panasonic DVD Recorder (direct capture in MPEG format 1:1) and then burning to disc and I got fantastic surprised results.
What is the best solution for direct computer MPEG capture but with same results like DVD Recorders like Panasonic, Philips .....
    Regards.

You could try MainConcept PVR. But a good dvd recorder is usually much better.
