  1. I get a lot of files that are 23.97 fps and I want to make DVD with 23.97 fps. But in the output screen, under the standard templates, there is only NTSC and PAL which are 29.97fps and 25fps. 23.97 Is NTSCfilm, isn't it? and there are only NTSC-film templates under VCD and SVCD. How can i make the output in TMPGENC 3.0 Xpress 23.97fps? Can I download a custom template or make my own somehow?

Load the NTSC DVD template and then load the unlock template. This makes all options customizable. So set the output framerate to 23.976fps and enable the 3:2 pulldown while playback option.

If you want to save 2 seconds each time than save this configuration as a new template and use it whenever you want to make a DVD at 23.976fps.

It must work, or you can use TMPGEnc Plus

Maybe the express version just doesn't have the unlock template in the install package. I know some versions of TMPGenc didn't. You can download the trial version of TMPGenc and copy and paste it from its templates directory to yours.

Or you can easily make your own. Just manually copy all of the settings from your DVD template into a new project, (file/new project) except set it to 23.976fps. Then save it as a new template.

I think you can, if you output mpeg (not DVD). So, you load NTSC DVD and after that you load mpeg output and change the fps.
