I have some video that I have applied filters to in Virtualdub and I would like to fameserve to TMPGEnc. If I follow the guide(s), will the filters I have applied in VirtualDub be applied to the final TMPGEnc output file? I assume they will be, but I have never really used VirtualDub before. I have looked at a few of the guides but I am a bit fuzzy on how all this works...thanks for any help.

The answer is yes .
I think you add the extension vdr for tmpgenc to open it .
For vdub to bbmpeg :

A better answer is 'usually'. Not all filters work with frameserving from VD. This from a VD page:
http://www.virtualdub.org/docs_frameserver
Filters that do not work with frameserving:
Any filter that shows a lag value in its description, particularly the "temporal smoother."
