the video plays for all a few seconds then the screen goes blank,the streaming video is being played on wmp10.ive reduced the video accerleration but didnt change anything.do i need to change framerates?within cam studio.

Check you are using the cam studio codec for the compressor , it dosent like anything else .
Search the forum for video acceleration , or check you hardware video setting's , you should beable to disable directdraw acceleration , and try it again ...
You may have the option to adjust the video acceleration via a slider , bring it back to the left , then try it again .
It's a problem designed into directx9 .
Another trick that might work ... download koolplayer , open a small video and leave it there ... now try wmp10 again ... it seem's to apply direct acceleration to the first player , and not the second .
Although , just thinking of directx9 , I dont see that as a possibilty , they mention two wmp10's running ... this simply dosent work in xp .
