I have a video which is of 24.302 fps. At this current state, the video is perfectly sync. However, the slightest edit done to the file (like the 1ms offset in VD-MOD) and the whole output is greatly out of sync.
I was wondering what method should I use to sync the file so that I can convert it to DVD. Split audio/video and match times? Re-sample audio? Change video bitrate?

Encode the video to an mpeg2 elementary stream at 23.976 with 2:3 pulldown. Use g-spot to determine the new length of the video clip. Load your audio into audition or sound forge or similar, and time stretch the audio to match the new runtime. Test for sync (virtualdubmpeg2) and adjust delay as necessary. Encode and author.
