  1. I couldn't really get what I wanted to achieve fully in the thread title but thought it's somewhere near my problem.

    I have recorded a tv series off-air as MP2 files (704 x 576, 192kps 48000hz MP1 audio)

The series was broadcast on ITV1 but I happened to miss an episode and so recorded it off ITV2 where the file recorded showed up the MP2 file to have 544 x 576 dimensions!

I have also acquired another episode from a mate which he recorded in MPEG2 video but in 720 x 576 dimension but with ACM 192kps 48000Hz audio.

When I try and put all these files in TMPEG DVD authoring software it won't accept the first file as it has different dimensions to the other files and also it doesn't accept the ACM audio on the other file.

I have now realised that to put many video files on one DVD that they all have to have the same specifications.

    THEREFORE

I have tried using Virtual Dub, TMPEG and PVAstrumento to convert the 720 x 576 ACM audio file to 704 x 576 with MP1 audio but the applications won't even allow me to access them within the software!

Has anyone got any ideas on what I can try next?

    Thanks in advance!

you can mix different resolutions on a dvd, just create a new track/title for each clip in tda.

convert the acm audio to mpa/mp2 with ffmpegui.

convert the 544x576 to 352x576 with for example tmpgenc xpress(it should support mpeg2).

I'll give it a try now.

  4. Yes, seems to be working fine!

    Thanks for that help!

Quick question about TDA (i havent used it thoroughly for about a year now!)
How can I get all five videos just to appear on ONE menu rather than the way they have now appeared?

    Thanks
