Ritek pretty much sucks now as far as quality control. TY is priced about the same over at Rima. I just bought some Hub printables for 38.99. 8x TY. If i were you i would switch, you never know when you'll get a bad ritek batch.

How about just using the cases from those AOL free XXX hours offers? Those seem to come in the mail faster than I generally burn CD/DVDs.

Anyone have any bad experience with wallet cases, like the ones Case Logic make...??? I'm concerned about scratching the media... Or does Case Logic use something that is scratch resistant...
I had a cd binder that I was using for my DVDs but the playable surface would kind of build up with some type of a film - not moisture ... -
The problem with binders and wallets is not so much about whether the holders can scratch the discs, but re-shuffling them when one is adding new titles (unless you don't care about storing them in alphabetical order, etc.)
I use Tyvek sleeves for each individual discs, and so far so good. My only problem is finding the exact size box to store the sleeves, since most storage solutions are designed to house plastic cases (or sleeves that they already include with the cases) and they are still too wide for the Tyvek/paper sleeves. -
yes, id imagine its so much easier to right in sharpie's and put them in 1 after another into 400 ring binders, me on the other handd would not collect if i had to store them like that,
im 1st class all the way, my originals go in boxes in the attic which would only work if they went up for ages (its not practivcle storage) so i couldnt store a day to da collection up there
my burned go into amary cases with custom high qualiy picture covers printed on photo paper, i use verbatim photo printable disks
i have several bookshelves witht theem, even my multiboxes are m-lock cases and not cheap multicases
if ur gona do it, do it right -
I wouldn't recommend putting any media in an attic unless it's climate controlled. Most attics have too many variations of temperature/humidity to reliably store media.
-
Our attic gets extremely hot in the summer time.
Much too hot for media storage.
My general rule of thumb is if it's too hot, too humid or too cold for me, it most likely is for my media too. -
I use 200 disk Binders, which I number, and an Access Database to catalogue my DVDS along with the binder that it is in.
Eliminate the impossible. Whatever remains, no matter how improbable must be the answer.

Has anyone here actually scratched their media due to these DVD/CD binders...???
Isn't there also the possibility they may warp in a binder...??? -
i once kept disks in a binder, if u go for one of the ones that stores 250 or above about 150 then it gets very heavy and even if ur moving it round th ehouse it can caiuse damage to certain slots, also the taking them in and out causes scratches, if ur in the habit of rearanging disks then ur in for trouble, especially if u go for the chaper binders
