nero vision 3 will not execute

I am a newbee and not sure where to post this question, or even if is appropriate.

I have been using Nero Ultra 6.6 and now want to try the Vision Express 3. But when I click on the program, or select it from the Nero toolbox, the screen goes away then just returns. I have not yet located any error display or *log, *.txt files that it may have created. All Nero files are up to date.

This is installed with two different licences on an XP Home and XP Pro system, with the same apparent result.

I have contacted Ahead/Nero almost 2 weeks ago, but no response is available yet.

Does anyone out there have an idea why this one program will not execute? I have gone thru all of the other apps via the toolbox, and all seem to function properly EXCEPT this Nero Vision Express.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you are trying to work with DVDs, then you need to have the DVD Plugin, which is an added cost to Nero 6, available at the Nero site.

If you got the plugin, then a Nero reinstall is in order, after you remove the existing Nero files.

Well, that certainly makes some sense. Except that I thought I had the full version of Ultra 6 on XP/Home, and the oem version on XP/Pro. When I look at the Nero plug-in, it states that the full version is supposed to have the required plugin. Perhaps the plug-in is missing due to the upgrade I did from V5 to V6?
