i just reformatted my HD so I lose all my settings on tmpgenc. Anyway Im converting an avi to a dvd compliant mpeg-2 via tmpgenc. I usually use the wizard, load my avi, load the demuxed audio as a wav then set the screen resolution type and bitrate. Next is the output file name. It outpuits as the file name but the extension is [m2v+wav]. I want to out output as .mpg Any ideas? When I don't use the wizard it allows me to output as a mpg but it also uses the 720x480, the larger resolution whereas I want to use the smaller one. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

  2. On the first screen of the wizard, does it say CBR or VBR Linear PCM Audio? If so change it to CBR MPEG-1 LayerII Audio.

    I believe that will help.
