    hey my tv tuner does not receive sound from my video recorder I am using S-video cabel to connect the tuner and the video recorder. What am
    I doing wrong, THANKS

  2. Does your tuner accept an audio input from the recorder? You may have to run the audio output directly to your soundcard and adjust the settings.

    You're not connecting the audio, S-video is video only. Use some other cables to connect your audio.

    Check for a seperate audio input (as above) as S-video cable carries video only....still need audio from source...such as left and right RCA component or Digital audio connevtor.

    hi guys thanks for your advice it helped me out. But I have another problem with my S-VIDEO cable sometimes it gives me color picture and sometimes black and white .I change the cable and third to change the video formats on the tuner but no result. How do I fix it.

    I suspect a bad connection, that's exactly what happens when one line is bad. If you've changed the cable then one of the connectors might be bad.
