    hi everyone,

i'm having a bit of a problem. here's my dilemma. i'm using MTR 2.6.6. to create a VOB file. i know that when extracted the VOB file contains 2 audio tracks. 1 in english and the other in a foreign language.

Now i import that VOB file into ffmpegx 0.0.9v and use the psp h.264 conversion method. i leave everything at it's default setting. the only thing i change is the "psp movie" name into the movie's title. i even go as far as checking the audio by using the "preview" option and i make sure the english track is selected under the "audio" menu. that track is usually track 0. even though i made sure i selected the english track, after the conversion is complete i check the converted file's audio by opening it and low and behold the damn thing is in a foreign language!!!! i can't figure this thing out!!! every movie i converted is in a foreign lanuage!!!! it plays great on my psp but i don't understand a damn thing!!! so that makes the file completely useless and the whole process a waste of time!!!

i've tried everything i could think of in both MTR and ffmpegx. in MTR i tried selecting the title only extraction then selecting the demuxing option and only checking the english 2 ch. box. then extracting the VOB file. well, that didn't work because i'm left with 2 files, one VOB and one AAC audio file and ffmpegx doesn't allow you to import audio under the psp h.264 conversion method. i even did what someone suggested to me in a earlier post. i did the same thing i just mentioned, but then i clicked on the "d" option after only selecting the english 2 ch. option. well, that didn't work either because apparently, when you select "d" again, it sets the file back to it's original audio options.

is anyone else having this issue? am i doing something wrong? if i am doing something wrong, can someone walk me through this? i would really love using my psp to watch my dvd movies. but with this new version of ffmpegx (0.0.9v) it's been one huge headache trying to convert dvd's using the psp h.264 option. thanks.

  2. Due to a bug in track numbering in ffmpeg (used for audio encoding in PSP H264) the tracks may be inverted in order, that is, if you have audio in tracks 1, 2, 3 and 1 is the track you want (0 in ffmpegX), they may get inverted so you should select track 3 (2 in ffmpegX).
