I'm converting an anime series from .avi to mpeg2. I'm using Tmpgenc Plus 2.5. I had 5 episodes that were giving me problems. The .avi's were 23 minutes each but when converted to .m2v were shortened to only 12 minutes each. I tried playing the files with Powerdvd and Nero Showtime just to make sure. Somehow a big chunk between the beginning and the end is being cut out. I opened the files with Vdubmod and all 5 files show an improper VBR audio encoding and prompts me to rewrite the header. I did so on all 5 files and reencoded them. 3 of them converted just fine. However, the remaining 2 still only play for 12 minutes. I ran the error check through Vdubmod on the original .avi's and it reported: 0 frames masked (0 frames bad, 0 frames good but unendecodable.) I extracted only the video stream with Vdubmod and tried converting it using tmgpe and had the same problem of only playing 12 minutes. I tried using CCE SP 2.7 to convert the .avi and for some reason the file plays for 19 minutes in Nero Showtime but only 12 minutes in Powerdvd. I don't know what else to try. Any thoughts?
