I have got a couple of large mpg's (around 100 mb each) and when I try and play them in windows media player, the playlist says that the video goes for 1 min or less, when in actual fact it goes for like 15. So the video will play through the 1 minute, but when it gets to the 1 minute, the picture will freeze, the audio will keep playing properly, and every now and then the picture will update, like a slideshow type thing, not playing as an actual video. When i click on the track marker halway say, i dont go to the part that I have already watched, instead a part of the video that is after the 1 minute shows up and starts playing properly, until it reaches the 1 minue ending part. This probably sounds very confusing, but i hope sumone can understand it. What i would like is to know if there are any programs that i can put the mpg through to fix this time problem up.

I have tried burning the mpg onto a dvd and playing it on my dvd player, but when i play it, that video will only play for 1 minute and then it stops completely.

Before you ask, yes I have tried it in other media players on my computer, with the same result happening.

I would really like to know how to fix this up really soon, so any help if greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

Corrupt video. Chances are there is nothing you can do but delete it and, I guess, download it again (assuming that is the source). If you look in the tools section you will find a number of programs for fixing video. Some (Restream, for example) are better than others, but ti depends on what is wrong as how much success you will have. The only way to know is to try it for yourself.
