Im trying to install my Media Centre CD. And the first time I ran this cd it actually made it to the blue screen where the cd was loading configuration files. Then all of a sudden this system error came up stating that hardware configuration error was issued. At the time it also stated try to remove any viruses or so from the system. I did have a trojan virus on my pc and this is why im trying to format so i can start from scratch. (defeats the purpose of reformatting if i have to remove virus in order to format lol).
Anyways I rebooted and it just said cdboot: momero system overflow. I rebooted again and then from then on it was rebooting PC everytime it would try to load the cd. So i read a few places CORSAIR memory isnt the best so it stated to leave 1 stick of ram, which I did and still nadda.
Left me with no choice but to come here and ask whats the problem. I want to reformat but its not letting me the read the cd. The rom drive is fine, but what can it be how do i fix it and if its a bios flash update thats needed then thats the only thing left for me to do but then again i want to be sure if this is a common issue if theyrs a way around it, thanks.
[EDIT]: I found my problem... NEVER BOOT CDROM OFF RAID~!~!~!!!!!!
hehe admin can close this thread now, thanks.
