    Yes, but read the "learn more" link. Basically, it routes your requests to the Google cache of the content, rather than the actual content, thus saving both the DNS time and takes advantage of the higher bandwidth Google has. The other misc. stuff they talk about is mostly fluff.

    Most of those type of accelerators work the same way, they use cached pages from a server to speed up page loads. I doubt it will help in the slightest with downloads. If you visit the same page often, it keeps a copy of it. But if the page changes continually, no improvement. Visiting a new page, no improvement either.

    Some of them lower your video resolution or the number of colors it uses to speed up pageloads. If you have broadband, a waste of money, IMO.

    For slow dialup, they help speed up some page loads. But that's about all.
