    I was trying to convert an avi to mpg using TMPGEnc, and when I load the avi, I got no audio. So, I tried to extract a wav using VirtualDub, and I got this error message:

    "No audio decompressor could be found to decompress the source audio format"

    I have downloaded, and installed the AC3 filter, but VirtualDub doesn't seem to recognize it. Help please?

    use ac3 acm if you want to extract ac3 audio.

    or use something else to convert to wav, goldwave, avi2wav.
