  1. Plextor has put up a news release announcing the PX-760A and PX-760SA. As stated from the Plextor website: "The Premium PX-760 series are the World's fastest DVD-ReWriters to date and include the ATAPI/IDE PX-760A and the Serial ATA PX-760SA. They are both capable of 18x DVD+/-R and 10x DVD+R DL speeds and come with a comprehensive package of high-end features."

    No North American release date announced either. Good to see 16x isn't the maximum speed though for burning.

  4. 10x dual layer speed, too...that's a pretty nice kicker....i hope lite on puts out one with an 8mb buffer, i may think about buying it since my cdrw drive is finally starting to kick the bucket....

    I'm waiting for a blue-ray burner before I decide to upgrade. I'd never pay Plextor prices in any case. I'd sooner buy a Sony.
