  1. First, let me apologize if this is in the wrong forum.

Here's the scenario - I have a dvd that I used dvd shrink to make a full backup to my hdd. I then demuxed the m2v and ac3 streams. I converted the ac3 to mp2, then multiplexed the streams back together as an mpg. Here's the part I cant figure out: I want to take the newly created mpg and "put it back" into the dvd structure i ripped to my hdd. Thus preserving the menu structure and so on. Maybe this is not possible, maybe it is. I can't seem to find any guides that cover this type of scenario. If it is not possible, is it possible to rip the the original dvd menus and use them to access the mpg once it's back in a dvvd compliant format. Thank you so much for any help you can give!

What do you mean by "Put it back" into the DVD structure? Are you talking about creating a file which has both DVD files and an mpg together? Or are you going to re-author the files back into a DVD as I think is what you mean by -
"rip the the original dvd menus and use them to access the mpg once it's back in a dvd compliant format."

If you want to use the Mpg and make it into a dvd with the original menu, that'll take some authoring. Check out the How to > author link on the left hand side of the videohelp site...

  4. Thank you for replying. I apologize for the cryptic explanation. Baldrick is correct. I want to take the mpeg file and author a dvd with it using the orginal menus from the source DVD.

Thanks again for the quick replies!!!
