  1. Hi,

I want to burn some *.avi files along with idx/sub subtile file to a DVD so that I can play them on my DVD Player (Shinco). The subtile has more than one language. How do I do it?

    Thanks,
    Jean

You could try name the files like:
    video.avi
    video.idx
    video.sub

and burn on rw media and test.

If it wont work you might need to convert text srt subtitles or use xsubs or make permanent subs.

And try search for your player in our players list or using google for more information.

  3. Baldrick,

Thank you. My player has a problem to read idx/sub. It can read one srt. How to read two srt?
    video.avi
    video.srt (language subtitle 1)
    video_2.srt (language subtitle 2)

For the 2nd one, it has to be a different file name, but the player doesn't read the 2nd one. Is there any way I can join two srt into one, then toggle "language "button on DVD player remote control to switch between no subtitle/subtitle 1 /subtitle 2 ?

    Thanks,
    Jean

  6. Baldrick and Abond,

Thank you for your help. I have a new problem. I try to convert idx/sub to srt using subresync (in Vobsub). OCR can't read foreign characters. It asks to type in letter for each foreign character, which is impossible. The idx/sub has two language, how to

1- convert one language (English) into srt only,?

2- convert both languages automatically (without asking me to type in letters)?

    Thank you.
