Basically, get the mpg out of the bin (with VCDGear or IsoBuster) and author it as DVD with TDA.

23.976fps mpeg1 is not dvd compliant. You must reconvert to 23.976 mpeg2 with 3:2 pulldown.

  8. you may be able to get by with dropping the files into dvdlab pro, however then the resulting dvd may or may not play in your dvd player........

Why mpeg2? The video won't get better. Author as NTSC DVD - your PAL player will prolly handle it with grace.

He does? Only thing I can see is:
23.976fps mpeg1 is not dvd compliant. You must reconvert to 23.976 mpeg2 with 3:2 pulldown.
It's the frame rate that's wrong, not the file type.

Never done NTSC - Maybe someone more experienced with NTSC can help?

  14. By the end of the conversion you will have an even worse result - even sync issues - bothering to convert. Consider your source: kvcd. It is a poor non-compliant video format that uses a non standard GOP template in an attempt to minimise encoding quality but still retain a barely watchable picture via some DVD players on a TV screen.

Mats:It's the frame rate that's wrong, not the file type.
    Actually it's the whole encode

So what your saying offline is don't even bother.

  16. That's just my opinion. Others may disagree. Those at http://www.kvcd.net do

If you really want to try it, there are some basic guides for NTSC-Pal conversions in the guides section. Have a read to familiarize yourself with some of the terms and post back - perhaps make a new topic. We can help with any questions after you have done a little bit of reading
