    I was wondering if anyone knew where to get firmware updates (assuming there are any) for the magnavox msd124. And would it be firmware that would (assuming they put that capability in) let me watch vcd's or is there no way at all with this particular player? Good player, just annoying that vcd's don't work on it. Thanks

    There appears to be a model MSD124 made by both Magnavox & Philips. However, neither list the model on the their web page. If there was a firmware update, it would (should) be available on their web page.

    However, vcd support would most likely not be something correctable via firmware. VCD/SVCD support is lacking on many US players as it is not a feature needed/used by many people. Especially since actual VCD/SVCD's are not even available here.
