Hello. A couple of years ago I transferred all of my fathers 16mm films onto dvd. I come from a rather large family and many of these films contain the only moving pictures of many of my relatives. So, I have made quite a few copies of this disc. Originally I used Sonic's DVDit! PE 2.0 and although pleased with the result, when I recently upgraded the menus I used Sonic's ReelDVD. I think version 3.
Now, some relatives had a problem. They could not get beyond the menu screen. There is music that plays on the menu screen and it just repeats over and over again, (I programmed it to do that), but none of the buttons will take them in to the "chapters". So, I send them out a copy of the disc I made with DVDit and it works fine.
This does not happen with all the discs from ReelDVD. Most of those play fine. But it happens occasionally and only with the ReelDVD disc.
Can anyone explain this?

It probably is just a bug in reeldvd that only affects certain dvd players. I had some problems with dvd-lab pro, it would make my dvds stutter in my samsung dvd player but play fine in my other dvd players. When I switched to dvd maestro my samsung player played my dvds fine. So the problem may be with reeldvd dvds not being very compatible with your relatives dvd player. This is just a possibility, I can't say for sure if this is the problem.
