    Hey guys! Ive just converted a Avi file into a DVD file with VSO DvdToDivX program and the quality is stunning, tho pictures freezez for a second time to time, thats not the problem, the problem is that the Sound is playing AFTER the picture, that means if a charachter says something, his mouth is mooving but the sound of hes speech comes a few seconds later. I think some of u encountered this prob, i realy wana solve this and see the movie proper, what should i do?

    Regards // Falconer

    what is the audio source? use gspot to identify.

    i would try convert the audio to wav,
    virtualdub->audio->full processing (convert audio to wav)
    virtualdub->video->direct stream copy (copy video)
    virtualdub->save avi

    convert then that new avi to divx.

    Audio source of the original avi file u mean? The thing is that this is kind of a new territory for me. The easyest way is the 1 baldrick is suggesting.

    This is what ive got from G-Spot:

  4. Your audio is bad. Most encoders would have problems with VBR mp3 audio. You have negative constant delay of 1188 miliseconds. VSO Divxtodvd is not aware of this and dealt with the audio as you havent any. Your only choice is to demux the audio from the files Divxtodvd produced (with ReJig for example) and re-author them to a new DVD accounting for the audio delay (also with ReJig). Don't forget it is negative (minus) delay.
    It is real shame that someone made the nice songs of Ostap Bender with such crappy audio.

    Accept the fact that not all AVIs are created with the recreation of DVD in mind. Get an AVI (DivX/XviD) capable standalone player.
    @ Falconer: Check out the Centrum Gemini 340 from NetOnNet - it was down to sek 390 I think, last time I looked. Works like a charm for AVI playback.

    A cheap but competent DVD/DivX/XviD player. Lets you play those troublesome AVIs on the TV without convertion to DVD first.

    One 700 MB avi to one data CD-R, or up to 6 (if they are 700 MB) on a data DVD-R. It's your choice.
