I encoded some video as MPEG-1. The video played 100% perfectly as tested with Media Player, Real Player and Moonlight-Elecard MPEG Player.
When I gave it to my client - the first thing he tried to open it with was QuickTime Player.
The video will load and start playing just fine, but if the time/slider is moved forward the video locks up.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Everything works fine with the other players...
I have been reading through the site for a while searching: MPEG + QuickTime + problem or + trouble and there are just lots of entries. None of which seems to address my issue - YET!

Have your client check for third-party QT plug-ins. Look in:
Macintosh HD > Library > QuickTime
Move any that aren't from Apple to the Desktop and reboot.
Alternatively, have him use VLC or MPEG Streamclip (both will play MPG1/MPG2).
