I Burned hundreds on my Pionier A-08 using( - R) Media w/o any problems. After I tried out HP LightScribe burner I have 90% returns - Choppy DVD playback.
I tried out HP+R and HP-R media
and
I tried burn LightScribe label on HP and film on Pionier .
Any idea what is wrong ?

Could be your media. Some HP media is made by CMC, who is a very bad manufacturer. I only buy Verbatim media and I have had no problems with my Lightscribe DVDs.
If you have Nero, you can use the Nero Toolkit to analyze your DVD disc for problems. Use the CD Drive Speed tool and use it to do disc analysis. -
How to find that media is made by CMC ?
Does Verbatim or others make (-R) LightScribe ?
