  1. All the media players on my computer play video with extremely crazy and bright colors. I'll show you a print view of my screen so you know what I'm talking about. EDIT: ok scratch that. Apparently print screen does not show the crappy video screen, and only the normal one when I lower the video acceleration. I'll show you the normal and describe to you what changes then.

When WMP 10 is at medium video acceleration it looks like this:

At this acceleration rate the video is choppy

However, when I move to full video acceleration the video becomes smooth, but all colors turn to white and vibrant pink in the picture except the guy's orange sleeves and the other guy's red headband which are light blue, and the blue/green sky to the right of the guy with the orange sleeves which is yellow. Oddly enough the sky to the left of the guy is just light pink.

Anyway this happens with VLC player too which I know has its own codecs to follow, so I dont' think it's a codec issue. Also, when I go into advanced under the video acceleration bar in WMP 10 and take out overlays the video plays normal, but lags even more than when it's at medium acceleration. Maybe something with the basic windows options is messing with the video properties? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

What's your video card? You might see if the drivers are updated. If it's not codecs and I doubt it's your OS, then your video card or it's drivers are suspect.

For me this points first to your display card overlay settings or the way it acelerates. Try the file on a different computer and see if there is a difference.
