I am a bit confused. In my quest for new MPEG editing and DVD Authoring software I had settled on TMP DVD Author Pro. Then I saw Adobe Premier Elements 2.0. They are both the same price. The Adobe product has many more features for editing and the stats on the box states you can use it to edit, encode and burn DVD's. I know the capabilites of the TMP product as I have been using the trial version. In my searches on these forums I have read that the Adobe product will not "author" a DVD and I must use another product for that. The Elements 2.0 is a new program and I am wondering if Adobe added that functionality. What am I missing?

Most all-in-one tools can capture, convert, edit, author and burn. And Premiere Elements is an all-in-one toooooooool, so you don't need any additional tools to create a dvd.

But test the trial first...the authoring part could be very bad.

Thanks Baldrick. I did further research last night and found some reviews that confirmed Premier will indeed author DVD's. However, I also looked at the forums on Adobe's site and there were a few posts concerning poor quality output. I think I'll stay with TMP and get a more advanced editor as I learn.
