First when I try to convert the avi there is no sound, Then I tried to make a wav in virtualdub, That went ok, but when I then convert my avi with the wav file in tmpgenc, it goes wrong... In the begin the sound is ok but later on the movie the sound doesn't match the video anymore...
Can someone help me out here...

I had a very similar problem. V Dub would only cut like 25 minutes of audio the rest was no sound. If you use avi2vcd and decompress the audio it works really good. It makes a file about double its original (sometimes bigger) then use the decompressed file as your video and audio input in TMpeg and everything should be better.
