I need a software DVD player that uses OSD (on-screen display; or, video overlay) to display time elapsed. Preferably, the OSD info would be customizable, e.g., where it appears, what color, what size font, whether it is time elapsed for whole DVD or just the current title/chapter.
This is a very common feature on stand alone DVD players, but I have downloaded A LOT of software DVD players and none I've tried do this at all, or, not very well (e.g., PowerDVD [I think] showed 3 lines of OSD that included info I didn't need and it did not have a transparent background so it obscured a large area of the video).
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Well...since no one seemed to have any ideas...I continued my lonely quest.
The answer is: mv2player.
Has lots of customizable features, including customizing the OSD.
Sometimes crashed, but it isn't crashing now and I couldn't figure out why it crashed in the past. At any rate, it is an excellent player and anyone wanting the maximum customizability should check it out.
