  1. I have a problem when ripping Reservoir Dogs (region 2, PAL, widescreen 16:9) with FlasKMPEG 0.594. I can choose between English and Dutch subtitles, but whatever one I choose, I only get English subs. Anyone encountered this problem before, and solved it?

  2. Since you are using Flask, try the "subtitle-fixed" version of Flask 0.6prev1.1. You can download it from doom9's site. I not quite sure, but your problem I think is one of those which the author of the "subtitle-fixed" version tried to address.

  3. Hello,

    I know the problem and it won't be your last time you'll get this problem. I'm living in the Netherlands too, so also encode with subs. There isn't a real solution.
    Even the subfixes don't solve it everytime.

    This subtitle problem is THE reason why I still use older versions of FlasK. At the moment I am using;
    FlasK 0.594 subfix7,
    FlasK 0.6 subfix2,
    Xis 3.0
    XMpeg 4.1c
    XMpeg 4.2a

    When going to convert I start with XMpeg 4.2a, this one is the best and works in 75% of the cases with the right subtitles. If not...I go back one step everytime -> 4.1c --> Xis 3.0 --> 0.6 --> 0.594
    Sometimes it helps to select another language, and suddenly Dutch subs shows up (while having selected i.w. French).
    Also an option is selecting the Unknown "xx00??" subtitles.
    In several FlasK versions you'll get to see the available Languages and some other unknown, try these also.

    If you tried all but none seems to work...simply use DVDx, sofar that program never gave me problems. (but is a little slower with the CCE codec compared to FlasK)
