I hope this is in the right section as I am a 'newbie'
I have recieved a DVD+R disc. The details on this disc have been taken from a digital cine?. When I put the disc in my DVD player it does not recognise it and says 'no disc'.
Likewise my DVD/CD burner/player ,( LG GSA-4163B, )does not recognise it and prompts 'unknown format'
Is there anyway I can get to view what is on this DVD, given nothing seems to recognise it.
(There is valid date on the file as a friend in u.k. played it on his DVD player with no problem)
    Thanks in advance IronSheikh

    Incorrect region code maybe?

Can you see the file(s) on the disc using your computer?

If it's a region problem, try DVD43 and that should get around the coding.

1/ DVD Shrink recognises the DVD but "failed to open file VIDEO_TS.IFO"

2/I used ISO Buster as advised above. It has shown the file system as ISO 9660.
ISO Buster may help but I find it very hard to understand how to use i.e I put the DVD in the drive , it is then read...then I am lost!! I am not at all sure what steps are next even tho I am reading the so called help
3/ dont think its a region problem

    regards IronSheikh

  6. The ISO 9660 seems suspicious to me. For a movie to play in a stand-alone player it should be recorded as UDF.
