Sorry, stupid question I'm sure, but a search found too much random stuff, nothing specific to my needs.
I had a dvd that powerdvd wouldn't play, so to try to fix it i just ripped all the vobs and made a new ifo's using efoedit. But the subtitles (it has 2 sets) are a dark fuzzy green, unreadable, sorta reminds me of late 1980's bluescreens (but just green). How would I go about changing the color and making these more read-able? The video_ts folder is already on the harddrive. I'm hoping this is just a simple thing ifoedit can fix. Any help would be appreciated.

I followed the guide, and changed it to black, but the problem is they are still really thick and fuzzy, un-readable. Is there anything else you recommend?
thanx for finding that though btw -
You can only change the colors. You could also try dvdsubedit.
could you post a screenshot of the subs? -
Ok, here's a screen shot. This is an Anime disc set, it has 10 dvd's total, this is the first one that wouldn't play. The subs usually look fine, they've never looked like this before. So I figure it's caused something got botched up somewhere in the middle of all this ifo editing to try to get these to work. Let me know what you think if you can be so kind, thx.
edit: forgot to put the img code

There are 4 basic colors & include transparency -- as Abond posted in thread from link, Ifoedit will copy/past color info from orig. DVD to new one. Just open title ifo, go to pgciti, select correct pgc for title you want if more then one. Select copy from menu, go to the same place in new layout, select paste from menu.
Otherwise might have different sort of sub, like dual tracks in anime for signs etc. -
mikiem, the reason why they're so think and fuzzy is because you're probably showing all pixels with the same color. Typically, in subtitles, you have a clear color for the inside of each character, then a dark color for the outline, and a intermediate color for the anti-aliasing color (usually between the outline and the background).
Either try to copy the original CLUT (color lookup table) or create a new one from scratch, making sure you use the right color for each of the 4 pixel types. DVDSubEdit can help you with that, but it does not create the CLUT at this point (it lets you pick which color of the CLUT to use for each pixel type though).
jeanlMenuShrink a free tool to shrink menus into stills with or without audio!
DVDSubEdit: a free tool to modify your subtitles directly inside the vob. -
