im using dvd2avi to make a .d2v file and audio file to make a vcd using tmpgenc and it is working great!!! but now i want MORE!!I would like to put subtitles on these movies. i tried to use .srt's, name them the same as the .d2v file and put it in tmpgenc like i would with .avi files but tmpgenc does not write the subs on the movie. any ideas?

Well for a d2v file it would be using DGVfapi.vfp or I guess in your case dvd2avi.vfp. Naming the same would imply using directvobsub or similar. Guess you could crank the dshow input priority and use Gabest's d2v dshow filter.
Other option would be to frameserve the d2v with subs via AVISynth. -
You are quite right. I just tried it. Don't think that anyone is particulary interested in updating it though. First time I actually tried it.

Updating would be a pain in the butt anyway. The D2V format keeps changing slighltly.
