software suggestions as Studio 10 sucks

Can some recommend a decent video editing program other than Pinnacle Studio? I have had studio ten only a shrot while and it is crap, locks up all the time and doesnt work more than it works. Any suggestions for something that can do a similar job that wont lock up or cause problems?

Premiere Elements 2 seems to be a favourite for those not happy with Studio.

Check your system specs first though -- the requirement for SSE2 has caught some people out!

Vegas Movie Studio is you are starting out or on a budget, Vegas if you are beyond the beginners tools and have more cash.

depending on exactly how much editing your intending on doing, maybe virtualdub...otherwise vegas or (i havent used it in a while myself but it at least USED to be decent) cinegy....
