  1. i try to burn a mov file thats close to 4hrs long with nero 7, but the dvd came out with no video, just audio. i dont understant, the preview and everything looked fine, is it because the movie is too long?
    any help would be appreciated

    Try converting your video using something better than nero (like TMPGEnc), and use nero for burning only.

  3. so u saying i wouldnt have the problem if i convert it to say mpeg2 first with tmpg

    If you were going to convert it to MPEG-2 you would probably have to use 1/2 D1 format, 352 x 480 pixels MPEG2 (Called Half-D1, same as the CVD Standard). Or even VCD format. TMPGEnc encoder can do either.

    At four hours the bitrate would be too low for Full D1 (A regular DVD). You can see what the DVD formats are in 'What is' DVD to the upper left. <<<<<<

    If you wanted a .mov (Quicktime) file you could encode it and burn it as a data disc. But probably only a computer will play it.
