I hate Dolby

I used DVD decrypter to join the vob files, then used vob2mpg to make it an mpeg. Plays fine in WMP but when I burn and play with other video viewers(Nero Showtime), there is no sound. The sound currently is Dolby 2channel on the file. What are my options to make this audio source 'listenable?'

Do I need a program with a built in Dolby 2channel codec? If so, what programs.

Showtime should be able to play AC3 without any problems, and if WMP can play it then it is probably using the drivers installed by Showtime.

What are you actually trying to do with the files though ?

Im trying to cut and clip these so I will always have them on my hard drive. And so they will be ready to burn whenever anyone needs a DVD with certain clips. I have 50 DVDs so I do not want to use TMPGEnc DVD author to cut and add clips from different DVDs.

I uninstalled nero and the mpg still worked in WMP, but not in any other viewers.

Im not sure what to do. Please help!
