    Hello All,

I could use some information on how to put a DVD video on a web site.
I would lkie to use WIndows Media Player!

THe video I need to put on the web site is now on DVD.

Is there a simple way to convert DVD VOB files to allow WIndows Media to play them?

I realize Media uses AVI and AFS, and others!

I really would like something simple!

I did some searching on this web site and others, and really couldnt come up with an easy method!

    thanks

You could try VOB2MPG, then encode the result to WMV or MPEG-1, both of which are available natively on most PCs. How small a file do you want to end up with?

    Look here for encoders: https://www.videohelp.com/tools?s=9#9

    Thnaks redwudz

I will try vob2mpg , and then look for an encoder!

I really do not know how big the my DVD file is but I would think it is less then 1GB ( and as small as 250 mb ) or so!

I do not know what the all the conversions will do to the size of the VOB files?

If I remember correctly a vob file will get much larger in a AVI format?

    thanks for your help

tmpgenc xpress! it supports dvd-video and can output directly to wmv.

but it only supports mpeg or pcm audio...so not that useful if you have commercial discs with ac3 audio.

    or http://www.google.se/search?q=%22dvd+to+wmv%22&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefo...US:eek:fficial
