ok, everyone's talking aobut Plastic cases, but ....
how does everyone here feel about CD/DVD wallets?

I have over 3000 music CDs (1/3 factory, the rest burned)
that I have in six 520 CD wallets from Allmediaoutlet.com.
I like the fact that I can put all in a cabinet and out of site,
out of clutter. I tried the cd jewel, then the thin cd jewel,
and finally decided on this. I like it, and I am thinking
about it for my TV Shows I record and make DVDs of...

Would (any size wallets) work or is it better, IYHO, to do
    the black/clear standard/slim/multiset DVD Case?

  2. Some people (Lordsmurf?) claim that wallets warp discs.

I seriously doubt that wallets would "warp" discs, but it's pretty obvious that they scratch them more than jewel cases/amary cases.

yeah, i totally agree. wallets are hell on optical discs.. i've tried all types, the kind with the padding that fully cover the discs.. slimline jewel cases are what i use.

  5. I think heat and adhesive labels play more of a role in warpage than a case does.

  6. The amary and like push-pop cases are the easiest, but for some of those difficult cases where the center doesn't depress ...

Rather than grasping opposing sides of the disk and lifting evenly, try lifting only one side. I was surpirsed when a friend showed me this trick. I always grabbed at two points and had to nearly bend the disk into a U before it'd SNAP out. Lifting one edge, and it releases with fairly light pressure.

Not saying it'll work on all problem hubs, but it works on all the ones in my collection (three or four different hub styles - don't know what they're called (if they even have names)).
