Did it give any error messages? If so, you might want to put that in the post. With DVD shrink, it normally goes around the "protection" most companies put on the dvd's. Darn restrictions...so give us more info. I've used dvd shrink even with the strictest Piracy protection and have yet to experience any problems.

Let us know what happened AFTER you tried to copy....

ok i typed the 3 on purpose because if you try to type with help in the topic it wont post so i found away around it now that that is over how do i make a back up of my filght plan i have it on my computer i just need to know other programs that shrink it like dvd shrink

a) circumventing forum implementations to stop stupid thread titles like "I need help ..." (Well duhhhhhh ! That's why you're at videohelp.com) should be a bannable offense as far as I'm concerned. Or at least a yellow card offense ...

b) Your first post reads:
"DVDShrink doesn't work. Help !"

Now how the hell are we meant to be able to help you, without knowing why DVDShrink is falling over ?

As a bare minimum, you need to post the exact error message DVDShrink is giving you before anyone can have any clue as to why it isn't working.

We're not all psychic rocket-scientists you know

I agree with Abond that ripping the dvd again, this time using the PSL2 Plugin for PgcEdit would most likely solve your problem with DvdShrink.

The PSL2 Plugin now has a package available (for free) at the official forum (here) in the "PSL2 Plugin Installer" forum. Once the package is installed, the PSL2 Plugin will help you to easily rip and repair dvd's infested with the latest copy protection systems (so DvdShrink can process the files without problems).

If you're interested in why DvdShrink is bombing out, and why using the PSL2 Plugin is a really good idea, r0lZ explains it very clearly here and here.

If you're trying to help someone, and all they say is "this doesn't work ... help !" what would your response be, hmmmm ?

You want free help - the least you can do is provide is all the information at hand - and you should be grateful to receive any help at all.

DVDShrink is picky about compliant DVD-Video. You can try this:

1) Rip with latest version of DVDFabDecrypter.
2) Run the Fab output through FixVTS.
3) Open the FixVTS output in DVDShrink.

To reiterate, you must have the latest version of Fab. OTOH, what Abond suggested will always work, now and for the foreseeable future. BTW, my comment was not aimed at you.
