no thomson is a major corporation. i think they developed the technology for RCA's mp3 players.

It may have come out 3 yrs ago, but it still hasn't caught on fully, they were trying to get major companys (sony, pioneer) to adopt HDMP3 playback but it hasn't happend yet, so as far as being old...

this thread is about a vst effect that converts a stereo file into 5.1 surround. what you're talking about is something different, created by a different person/company.

if you want to discuss the HDMP3 thing then you can post in another thread or start another one.
