  1. I am trying to understand menuing in DVDa. I set chapter points in the video and then dragged the video onto the menu and set it to a specific chapter point. I did this five times and set each one to a different chapter point. When I played it they all worked fine.

    Here are my questions:

1.) I only get the first frame showing on each button and cannot figure how to change then look or using one of the button templates on each one. How can this be done?

2.) I would like the dvd to return to the menu after it plays the chapter. Sort of like in regular dvd's when you play a scene. Is there a way to do this?

    Thnaks for you help.

Doesn't seem a huge difference between 2 & 3, except maybe angles & the way the menus on the right (properties) are organized (a bit more difficult *I* think )

Basically you drag your movie onto the 1st menu page, navigate into the movie, set your chapter points, lang etc... The end action is set in the rite hand window, as well as remote menu options. This is how/where you set what happens at the end of playback. A chapter menu actually is a separate & different kind of menu in the DVD specs, so probably better off specifying/creating a separate chapter page (insert/create chapt menu I think) if you're using chapters (this also activates chapter menu on the remote).

AFAIK there's no way to automatically jump back to the menu in the middle of a video -- a chapter is just a pointer to a cell, & as the movie hasn't ended, there's no mechanism to do anything but continue playback.

OTOH, there's no reason your video can't be presented as separate titles, separate movies, each of which can jump back to your choice of menu page. DVDA3 also has playlists, which would allow a play-all button to show your titles one after another.

Edit: RE: buttons, the controls for those too are in the rite properties window. Another benefit of using the chapt menu creation is it automatically inserts video rather then a snapshot.

You should try reading the manual/help files. You need to be looking at things like playlists, end actions etc.
