  1. I've got a Sony DVP-S560D DVD player. Ended up at my house because it didn't work. I wanted to see if any small, cheap repairs would fix it. The player appears to be in working order at first glance. However, when a DVD is inserted nothing appears except for a black screen.

If there were someone who wanted it, this is where they'd be. If the repairs are major, I won't bother. I'd rather someone from this community who might need it, or want to tinker with it, have it. Someone in or around the SoCalifornia area. Otherwise I'll chuck it I guess.

As far as what's wrong, there isn't much I can say. It has power, the tray works, no visible damage. The TV screen remains black (no flicker or a root menu), with no changes.

Okies... It just felt wrong to trash it. I figured I'd help those who dance the Piss Poor 2-step like I do.
