Ok here it is : There have been numerous posts with the same or similiar problems regarding avi to mpg but there have been virtually no replies and the very few replies offered no solution.
Maybe this will help get the ball rolling.
Most avi files I load into TMPENc are no problem.
Some however only load the audio and not the video.
When Itry it with LSX- encoder it says " encoder failed to decompress AVI video stream : possible reason cannot find appropriate video codec or avi may be corrupted or use an unsupported video compression format ".
Ok if its corrupted I can accept that but what about the not being able to find an appropriate video codec ?
If thats the problem where do I get such a codec and what do I do with it when I get it?
Also , how do I make sure the avi is not a divx and if it is should'nt TMPGENc be able to convert it anyway ?
Please help there are many of us who are having this same problem. Thanks ,Mike
