I'm liking the way the app works for me in general, but I'm running into a lot of the files that show up in assets with hugely negative durations, and of course don't end-up working. Earlier, we had discovered that it had something to do with sound style changing during a cut to a commercial. I have found that it happens in the middle of a show.

What I've done to get around these glitches is a royal pita, but it works. I use HDTV2MPEG2 to split the file into 5MB chunks (hundreds of them, of course). Then drag all of those files into the assets, except for the one that has a sound glitch.

I would LOVE it if there were additional robustness added to get through the glitch. Now, if the expense would be sound synch off at the end, I'd say NO WAY! I'd much rather have a missing segment than to have synch problems. But if it were possible to fix this without risking synch, I am at your service to deliver chunks that have the negative duration problem.

Ok. Can you upload 3 files to start with: chunk before glitch, glitch chunk and the chunk after glitch to ftp://BetaTester:badger@ftp.svcd2dvdmpg.com:7676/sengsational/

I'll see what can be done.

actually can i also have the first chunk and the last chunk too plus your log of a run of the large file on its own (no need to complete the run just get it started so i can see the duration estimate)

    Thanks
