I made a DVD from a VHS tape (home movie)...I used FCP (through a Conopus Analog/DIgital converter) and burned it with DVDSP....works great. I want to make copies...when I use Toast (Copy DVD), it just spins forever...do I have to use Mac the ripper first....I can always reburn in DVDSP but after I made the first DVD I erased all the files....rather than recapture and convert to m2v etc again, can't I just copy the DVD?
Thank You,
Mark

You don't need to use MacTheRipper. I don't know why you are having any difficulty copying the disc, but I'll describe the steps in case you are doing this differently.
Select the Copy window in Toast. Insert the DVD. Choose Save as Disc Image from the Toast File menu. When the disc image is finished eject the DVD and insert your blank media. Choose Image File in the Copy window and select the disc image. Click the burn button. -
Thank You, I am trying that now...before i was using the built in DVD/CD Player as the source and an external DVD burner as the burner....should I be able to do it both ways? Either way, I'll let you know how it goes with the image method (which would be great for me if it works)....
