I know that I can create the chapters manually but I just want to have chapters created automatically every 7 minutes or so. Is there a way to do this? If so, how? Thanskf or any assistance.

When you finalize the disk, the Panny will generate chapter breaks. You won't have a chapter level menu to bring up, only a title level menu.

so what that really means is that I will be able to skip ahead in x amount of time increments correct? So if i want menu chapters I will have to manually make them?

You will not be able to display a chapter level menu. The Panny only supports creating a title level menu. That is why I now do all my editing, authoring and finalizing on a PC. The authoring software I use allows me to create chapter level menus, with motion thumbnails, under the title menu.
If you are leaving the material on the hard drive on the recorder, then you can still see the thumbnailed chapter level menu but you will have to manually insert the chapters. -
Alright. That's what I was wanting to know. Guess I will be doing it your way if I want chapters on my menu then. Thanks.
